Midlands PR Agency Punch Communications spent a day on site at Britain’s earliest railway works this week, with construction client Bowmer & Kirkland.
Bowmer & Kirkland, one of the largest and most industry respected privately-owned construction and development groups in the UK, are halfway through a two year-long project to restore and refurbish The Roundhouse at Derby College, a 170 year-old building that remained derelict until the College secured funding to convert the building into a state-of-the-art facility for students.
With the project fully underway, journalists from the construction trade press were invited to take a tour of the site to see the work that has already been undertaken and interview construction students from the college that have been working on restoring the building as part of their course.
Pete Goold, Managing Director of Punch Communications said: “The Roundhouse is a phenomenal project that is being meticulously restored to its former glory by Bowmer & Kirkland. It is a really exciting project for us to be involved with and we have had some great feedback from the journalists that we have shown round the site. We look forward with anticipation to the press coverage generated from the tours.”
