The Nuffield Theatre is still on the hunt for talented young people to take to the stage in its magical Christmas production, Peter Pan (29 Nov '07 -12 Jan '08).
The team are particularly interested in hearing from boys who would like to take on the roles of John and Michael Darling, as well as 8-18 year-olds to play Lost Boys & Girls and pirates.
Open auditions will be held at the theatre on Saturday 22 September, at which children will be asked to demonstrate their ability to sing 'Happy Birthday', act and move in time to music. No previous stage experience is necessary, but genuine enthusiasm and commitment are essential.
Auditionees have a choice of two sessions, the first from 9.30am-11.30am (with recalls until 12.30pm for the parts of John and Michael), the second from 1.30pm-3.30pm (with recalls until 4.30pm for the parts of John and Michael).
Successful performers will work in three teams of ten, with each team performing on two days a week, Tue-Sun, throughout the run. They will need to be available for evening workshops on 1 October, 16 October, 1 November and 10 November, rehearsals from 12-24 November, and for production week and performances from 26 November to 12 January.
